WIVES CHOIR BE PART OF IT

After witnessing the inspirational journey of the Military Wives Choir I was determined to put together a choir for Wattisham wives. At the start of January this year I began looking for a venue, a choirmaster and a crèche facility and by the end of the month – thanks to an initial start-up grant from [...]

Welcome to The Eagle Online

Welcome to the third edition of The Eagle ‘Online’, the community magazine of Wattisham Flying Station. We hope you enjoy reading it and find the content interesting and informative. The original magazine ‘hard copy’ format will still be distributed on the Station, and for families living in Service Families Accommodation. Copies will also continue to be available form the Wattisham Information and Support Centre (WISC) and the HIVE, whilst we will distribute some copies to the local community. The ‘online’ format will clearly reach a much wider audience, thereby providing ‘a taste of life’ at Wattisham for those on operations and training, to our families, friends and our civilian neighbours. As always we appreciate hearing your ideas, news and articles, as your contributions are what makes the magazine. The format is constantly evolving and we would love to hear what you think!

This also blended well with Celtic tradition, which viewed [...]

4 Regiment ARMY AIR CORPS

It has been 11 months since I last wrote an article for the Eagle. In that article I promised to try and protect periods of leave and ensure we were all given time to share with our families. Unfortunately the unpredictability and volatility of world affairs conspired against me – Col Gaddafi’s actions in Libya [...]
